Better Solar, Only Slightly Better Spots

From midnight-ish to this morning:

first transmission was easily picked up!

Rest of the night:

More spots than the previous test,  but still not a lot. I think I have some station refinement to do. 

Also still need to finish the QDX.

Sunshin' CME Blues

I decided to to an experiment in the shack last night after seeing that we had a high K and A index.

That's after the experiment,  it was the same before. I have a qrplabs QCX+ on 40m, and I ran out all night in the WSPR beacon mode

Sheesh. 

For this SFI I should be well around the world. 

I think I'm going to put up a vertical for 40m, and run this beacon mode more often. Also I want to finish my QDX and my go box for POTA operations.

Rocket Adventures: Starship Octavius

Caroline and I enjoy model rocketry together.

I assembled a Quix rocket by Estes and sent it up a few times. The last attempt, the rocket disassembled at max height. I still need to correct it.

I also have a Tigres model rocket to assemble, some painting required.

Caroline built this Starship Octavius by Estes. Today we launched it, and had some adventures.
